While the settlement of Cala Morlanda adjoins the neighbouring area to the north, the hinterland is barely built on. On the northern shore of Cala Morlanda is the bathing area of the Cala Morlanda settlement, which extends in a semi-circle around this area of the bay. As the settlement is located on an elevated position on the cliffs surrounding the bay, several steps lead down to sea level. Nearby are typical fish restaurants and tapas bars as well as a small fishing harbour.
Porto Cristo is around 65 kilometres from Palma airport and has a picturesque harbour and a popular beach. Porto Cristo is famous for its dragon caves with the largest underground lake in Europe. The most famous resident is tennis world star Rafael Nadal, who also has his superyacht moored in the harbour. Here you can enjoy delicious tapas with a good glass of wine in one of the many typical restaurants and bars. The dream Caribbean bay of Cala Anguila is also nearby.
